The transformation of Asia's largest Marine barge ends beautifully

On June 15, the "Offshore Oil 229" ship, the first in Asia and the third in the world, successfully completed the fourth phase of the renovation project.

The four-phase transformation of the "Offshore Oil 229" vessel mainly completed the removal of 2,200 tons of floating tank, the removal of rocker arm hanging bank storage, the installation of fender glue, the installation and commissioning of the winch system and the new pressurized water treatment system. The difficulty of the project mainly lies in the lifting and transfer of a large number of large equipment and components. Under the overall planning, the difficulties such as the tight use of dock berths, venues and large equipment have been overcome, and all the projects of the fourth phase transformation have been completed.

After the fourth phase of the transformation, the "Offshore Oil 229" vessel will be put into the Xijiang 30-2DPPB block floating operation, to help the eastern South China Sea oil field to stabilize production and accelerate the transformation of green and low-carbon energy, and to "refuel" the economic and social development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In addition, in order to complete offshore construction works such as ultra-deep water vessel loading and transportation, such as Lufeng 15-1, Lufeng 12-3 and Liuhua 11-1, which are key projects of oil and gas development in the South China Sea, the adaptability of the "Offshore Oil 229" vessel will be transformed in three phases from 2021 to 2023. After the transformation, the "Offshore Oil 229" ship has completed the transportation and launching tasks of deep-water jacket such as "Sea-base 1" and "Sea-base 2", continuously refreshing the first deep-water jacket installation in Asia.
